Thank you for playing RED FLAG? (“the app,” “we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information. Please read it carefully. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Summary
RED FLAG? does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All your game progress stays on your own device. We have no servers, no user accounts, and no analytics tracking you.
Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information.
The app stores the following data locally on your device only, using Android’s on-device storage:
- Your game progress (completed decks, answers given)
- Your Social IQ score and rank
- Your daily streak count and any streak-freeze tokens
- Your app preferences (such as sound and haptic settings, and notification toggles)
This information never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. We cannot see it, access it, or recover it. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, this data is permanently deleted.
Information We Do Not Collect
To be explicit, the app does not:
- Collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account information
- Require you to create an account or log in
- Collect or access your device’s advertising identifier
- Use analytics or crash-reporting services
- Track your behaviour across other apps or websites
- Access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location
- Transmit any data to external servers
Permissions
The app requests a small number of device permissions, used solely for on-device features:
- Vibration — to provide haptic feedback when you tap answers.
- Notifications — to send you optional local reminders about your daily deck and your streak. These reminders are generated on your device; no data is sent anywhere. You can turn them off at any time in the app’s Settings or your device settings.
- Run at startup — so your local reminders can be rescheduled if you restart your device.
None of these permissions are used to collect or share information about you.
Advertising
The current version of the app does not display third-party advertising and does not use any advertising network. If a future version of the app introduces advertising, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that feature is released, and it will clearly describe what data any advertising provider collects.
Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it does not gather information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please note that the app has no mechanism to collect or store such information, and none would be retained.
Data Security
Because all data is stored locally on your device and nothing is transmitted, there is no data in transit or on any server to be intercepted. Your information is protected by your own device’s security. You remain in full control and can delete all app data at any time by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the app’s features change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes — such as the introduction of advertising or any data collection — will be reflected here before those features go live. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
